When We Cease to Exist

When the end of life has come,
And our work on earth is done,
Death claims us one by one,
Eternity has begun.

In this life a decision does persist,
That everyone must make,
Where will we go when we cease to exist,
Which road will we take?

There are but two ways from which to choose,
Will we accept the Good News the Gospels tell,
Or will we His grace refuse?
Will we spend eternity in heaven or hell?

If we accept not the work of the Son,
Then in darkness will we grope,
And when our life is done,
There is no hope!

If the narrow road we haven't missed,
What joy that will give,
For when we cease to exist,
We just begin to live!
